The research relates to understanding structure-property paradigm during thin slab casting of high strength niobium-microalloyed structural steels. The primary focus will be elucidation of fundamental principles on the determining role of niobium in dictating structure-property relationship. The project is a step toward advancing the current understanding of niobium in steels and expanding the knowledge-base.
