Assistant Professor, Intelligence and National Security Studies

Gabriella Sanchez is a sociocultural anthropologist specialized in the social organization of transnational crime. Her main focus is the irregular facilitation of transits along borders, primarily those involving people, drugs, or illicit cargo. A former court officer, Fulbright scholar and recipient of national security fellowships, she has conducted research in Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa and Australia on human mobility processes, border security and criminalization.
