Visiting Professor, Political Science

My research interests lie at the intersection of comparative politics, public policy, and public health. Within this broad set of interests, my research agenda focuses on four main areas: (1) the consequences of social policy for political behavior and health; (2) the determinants of good governance; (3) the pathways to patient advocacy among chronic disease populations; and (4) the sources of variation in the ideological placements of political parties.
