Assistant Professor, Kinesiology

Dr. Boyle received his Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University where he specialized in the field of Motor Neuroscience. His publications can be seen in topics examining complex upper limb coordination, enhancing motor performance through virtual modifications and motor control throughout the lifespan. He is currently establishing a line of research in the UTEP motor control and virtual reality lab that will investigate tool manipulations in a virtually modified environment. Findings from this line of research have great potential for recommendations to fields of human factors engineering and medicine. Dr. Boyle is also in partnership in a collaborative effort with the UTEP Golden Age Fitness program and Biomechanics lab at investigating the neuromuscular characteristics of limb control throughout the lifespan.
