Specifically, our interests include: a) the impact of small- and large-scale course reform efforts on students' conceptual understanding, attitudes, and motivation in biology; b) professional development for undergraduate and graduate teaching assistants; c) enhancement of students' quantitative literacy and reasoning within the biological sciences; and d) novices' development of scientific process skills in authentic research contexts.
