Professor, Geological Sciences - Environmental Science and Engineering

Dr. Langford works in modern and ancient desert sediments, relating the hydrologic, climatic and geomorphic factors that shape arid depositional environments. His current research foci are in landscape evolution in tectonically active settings in West Texas and Western Colorado. He is also studying landscape evolution in the deserts of North America. He also is pursuing studies of the interactions of salt tectonism and sedimentation with UTEP Professors Giles and Pavlis.
