Luisa Elberg Urbina
Instructor, Languages and Linguistics

I have moved through three continents and I had to learn how to lived in each one of them. From that experience I have become passionate about the personal responses of individuals to their environment.

These responses are the main interest of my professional life. That field involves the connections among Climate, Culture and Language; Historical Events and Mental Health; Mental Disorders and Assimilation, just to mention a few.

German Culture and its influences on Europe, and also its influence on the European colonized world, are very relevant and knowing the German Language provides the indispensable connection to take in account the ideologies that affect political movements and social values.

My teaching includes a wide spectrum of facts and events related to the language and the activities involve student's research and presentations that expand the vision of their world view, and of their perceptions of mankind.
