As a university level instructor for the past four years, Ms. Schechter-Shaffin has had the unbelievable opportunity to share her passions, interests, and excitement for Religious Studies and Women’s/Gender Studies with a highly diverse group of students at Randolph-Macon College. Having taught at all levels and for students from a variety of backgrounds, she sees all of her courses as an opportunity to not only deeply engage the students in the course materials, but to also improve their public speaking, writing, and research skills. She is highly focused on connecting with her students on a personal level and helping them gain the skills that they need to be successful in their future life endeavors.
