UTEP's Printing Nano Engineering (PNE) team will characterize 3D printed artificial bone for practical biomedical. The goal of the project is to design and print cortical bone with Magnesium and trabecular bone with PLA/PCL/TiO2 composite. Extra cellular matrix (ECM) is introduced to enhance biodegradable and biocompatibility properties.
