Dr. Armando Enrique González-Stuart earned his B.Sc. degree in Agronomics/Animal Science from the Center of Universitarian Studies in Monterrey, Mexico. While traveling throughout that country, he gained first-hand experience in the use of diverse medicinal herbs employed by native traditional healers for the treatment of various diseases that affect humans and animals. From 1991-1994 he furthered his graduate studies in Natural Resource Ecology at the University of Chihuahua, Mexico. While a graduate professor in Mexico, he participated in distance learning research program (1996 – 2001), with the Open International University / Indian Board of Alternative Medicine located in Kolkata, India. Upon completion of his research studies, he was awarded the Doctorate in Philosophy degree in Alternative Medicines.
From 2001- 2011, Dr. González-Stuart was herbal research coordinator for the Herbal Safety Project at the University of Texas at El Paso / UT Austin Cooperative Pharmacy Program. The main objectives of this project were to launch educational and research programs aimed at informing the public about the possible risks and benefits of employing herbal products and other nutritional supplements for the treatment or prevention of various diseases.
Dr. González-Stuart has written 5 books, and published various research articles in internationally renowned peer-reviewed journals.
