Daniel J Carey-Whalen
Lecturer, Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens

Daniel J Carey-Whalen has over 10 years of experience with museums and other cultural institutions. Mr. Catey-Whalen has worked mainly in informal educational environments, cultural programming, and community engagement, yet is also knowledgeable in exhibit curation and design, collections management, marketing, and other aspects of museums. In addition, Mr. Carey-Whalen is also experienced in grant administration for the Humanities, including interpreting funding requirements and grant writing. He is interested in the history of the built environment in American cities during the 20th Century. Mr. Carey-Whalen has a Masters in Urban Planning and teaches courses on architecture and urban design.
