Elise A Bell
Visiting Assistant Professor, Languages and Linguistics

Dr. Bell's research examines the intersection of language perception and production, using techniques from the fields of phonetics, phonology, and psycholinguistics to investigate the effects of bilingualism on the perception and production of first- and second-language sounds. A large portion of her research has focused on the Welsh language, which is currently spoken only in Wales and in a small community in southern Argentina. She is passionate about using theoretical linguistics to contribute to language documentation, preservation, and revitalization.
