Eric Boyer is an Associate Professor of Public Administration at The University of Texas at El Paso. He was a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Public Policy at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he worked on a study on communities of practice within the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). His PhD is from George Washington University, Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration, and his MPA is from Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Public Affairs. His publications explore issues in cross-sector collaboration, public participation, knowledge management, nonprofit leadership, disaster management, and public-private partnerships. His co-authored book entitled Governing Cross-Sector Collaboration is the first in the John Bryson series on Public and Nonprofit Management, published by Jossey-Bass. He has published in the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, a highly ranked journal in Public Administration. Boyer contributes to the Transportation Research Board's (TRB) Taskforce on Knowledge Management and TRB's Subcommittee on Public-Private Partnerships.
