Dr. Caire collaborates with economists, psychologists, policy analysts, and National Security Studies Institute faculty on various multidisciplinary projects ranging from conducting workforce development surveys to industry cluster analyses and cybersecurity. A recent example is “The El Paso Mission Trail - A Review of Recommendations for Improving the Trail”, a technical report developed for IPED and the City of El Paso. He is also a software developer with expertise in web-based database applications. Examples include a “Computer-Assisted Telephone Interview and Web Survey Tool” developed for IPED and an “Electronic Proposal Approval Tool” developed for the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects at UTEP. His research interests include spatial, factor, and data analysis, as well as cybersecurity and cluster computing. Current research involves understanding both the technical and human aspects of cybersecurity at a local level, with an emphasis on understanding the cybersecurity practices of very small businesses.
