Martine Ceberio's research interests are primarily in numerical constraint solving and global optimization, and include interval arithmetic, soft constraints, multi-criteria decision making, and their applications in areas such as network security, bio-medical engineering, and software engineering. She is very passionate about broadening the participation of women in Computer Science. She coordinates projects to introduce high-school girls to computing, coordinates the El Paso-Las Cruces annual NCWIT Aspirations in Computing competition, and also founded and advises the ACM-W chapter at UTEP.
