Mei-Ling Lin
Assistant Professor, Occupational Therapy - Rehabilitation Sciences

Mei-Ling Lin worked as a school-based occupational therapist for two years in Taipei City, Taiwan. Her research expertise includes research methodology (i.e., qualitative, quantitative, and mix-method), secondary data analysis, and statistical software (e.g., Mplus, SAS, and SPSS). Her research experiences encompass her dissertation research that examine the reciprocal relationship between parent supportiveness and child emotion regulation across early childhood, a community-engaged project involving people with aphasia and rehabilitation students, a qualitative study of grandparenting activities senior tenants do after relocating to the independent retirement community, and her thesis research that explore the adaptive experiences from the perspectives of individuals with stroke and their adult children caregivers. Dr. Lin’s research interests are activity participation, health, and well-being in school-aged children and families, and the application of 3D printing technology in occupational therapy education and practice. Dr. Lin’s current research projects are mental health in school-aged children, and 3D printing in rehabilitation sciences.
