Nate Robinson has worked for 17 years in engineering, program management, entrepreneurship and education. Holding degrees in engineering, economics and finance, as well as professional engineering licenses in multiple states, he has worked for Motorola, General Motors, Nortel Networks, and Exxon Mobil. Nate spent six years on Department of Defense electromagnetic and telecommunication projects. Prior to joining the Center for Space Exploration at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) as Associate Director, he worked on Space Shuttle propulsion systems and exo-atmospheric vehicles at NASA. He moved on to found the K-12 Science, Engineering, Math and Aerospace Academy in Texas, as well as become Director of Operations in Mechanical Engineering at UTEP. After serving as Division Manager in Saudi Arabia at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Nate returned to the USA though continues as a Strategic Consultant to KAUST. Back at UTEP as Assistant Vice President, he works on research, economic and community development. Nate’s perseverance and good fortune have allowed him to work on research in aerospace engineering, energy sciences, economics, education, and art, through sponsors like NASA, the National Science Foundation (NSF), and Jacobs Engineering, among others.
