Rebecca M Pasillas
Research Assistant Professor, Psychology

Dr. Pasillas’ professional experiences are broadly focused on dissemination and implementation science, program evaluation, and adapting evidence-based psychosocial interventions for Latinx. She has experience working in integrated care settings and interdisciplinary research teams; evaluating the effectiveness of training programs; implementing psychosocial interventions in multiple clinical care settings; and managing large datasets and data dashboards. As a licensed psychologist in the States of Maryland and Texas, Dr. Pasillas currently trains and provides 6 months of consultation to providers and mental health program leaders across the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in the delivery of Social Skills Training for Serious Mental Illness (SST) (Bellack, Muesser, Gingerich, & Agresta, 2004) for English and Spanish-speaking individuals. As Program Evaluator for the VA SST Training Program, she manages the program’s comprehensive evaluation plan and datasets, develops and implements evaluation plans for various SST projects, and analyzes/presents evaluation data to program’s leaders to make data-driven decisions to improve the training program. Dr. Pasillas has also provided evidence-based psychotherapies (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy [ACT]; Problem Solving Training [PST]; Social Skills Training for Serious Mental Illness [SST]; Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction; Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program for Individuals and Couples & Families) in English and Spanish to individuals with behavioral health concerns. She was trained and clinically supervised by the developers of ACT (Dr. Steve Hayes), SST (Dr. Alan Bellack), and PST (Drs. Art & Christine Nezu).
