In his work, Dr. Reyes looks at the roles of communities of practice, intervention design, disruptive pedagogy, and key interactions on teaching, learning, identity, and agency in marginalized student populations, with an emphasis on Latina/o students and students of Mexican-descent. He studies migrant, immigrant, and emergent bilingual/English learning students and their education in urban and rural formal and informal settings. My other areas of interest are in teacher identity and innovations in teacher education.
