Dr. Stephanie Meyers is an expert in both violin and viola performance/teaching. Having concertized extensively on both instruments, Dr. Meyers has also participated in several orchestras, chamber music conferences and festivals, and performances on violin and viola. Dr. Meyers is a scholar who has presented invited clinics at several national conferences, and was the former appointed Studio Chair for TexASTA (the Texas Chapter of the American String Teacher's Association). In addition, Meyers is the founder, creator, and faculty advisor of UTEP's "Sun City" ASTA Chapter, comprised of students from UTEP's Department of Music. Dr. Meyers is the Director, creator, and founder of The String Project at UTEP, a program that encourages students in K-6 to learn how to play a stringed instrument at UTEP. She is currently Associate Concertmaster of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra and Concertmaster of El Paso Opera Orchestra.
