Waymond Rodgers
Professor, Accounting and Information Systems

Dr. Waymond Rodgers is the El Paso Community Chair Professor at UTEP, and Chair Professor in the School of Business at the University of Hull. In addition, he is the Intermittent Research Professor at the Naval Postgraduate School Graduate School of Operational and Information Sciences; and previously he was a professor at University of California, Riverside and Irvine. Dr. Rodgers' primary research areas are auditing, biometrics, commercial lending decisions, decision modeling, ethics, security issues, trust issues, intellectual capital, and knowledge management. His business experiences include working as an auditor with Ernst & Young and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, as well as a commercial loan officer with Union Bank. Dr. Rodgers is the recipient of major research grants from the Annenberg Foundation, CGA Canada Research Foundation Grant, Citicorp’s Foundation Grant, Ford Foundation, U.S. State Department Franklin Fellow, National Institute of Health, National Science Foundation, Department of Defense, and the Navy Personnel Research and Development Center. Journal of Applied Social Psychology (JASP). He published in the Journal of Applied Social Psychology the advanced early warning system for sexual harassment behavior based on collected data from the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. This funded research study was motivated by the Tailhook scandal involving alleged sexual harassment.
