Description
UTEP’s Community of Engaged Scholars (CES) is made up of faculty members and community leaders who are actively involved with the scholarship of engagement, which includes teaching, research, and/or service activities. Housed within UTEP’s Center for Community Engagement (CCE), the CES offers a networking base that helps connect faculty and students with community partners to conduct enhanced student learning and research activities aimed at serving the Paso Del Norte region.

Visit the CUE to view community partnering agencies and to identify community needs to address. Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to partner with community organizations to help identify needs and the volunteers to help meet them.
Community organizations may individually manage their agency profiles.
CUE system also assists with an internal tool to manage service-learning courses, placements and the tracking of hours.
The Engaged Scholarship Consortium provides a list of toolkits, tools, and resources so that engaged scholars and practitioners may be aware of the numerous resources available to assist them in fostering engaged scholarship and developing the array of skills necessary for working successfully in collaborative, community-engaged contexts.
The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) serves as UTEP’s resource center for faculty, staff, and students who are interested in engaging in the community through a variety of programs and activities. The CCE connects the resources of the university to help meet community priorities through maintaining healthy and mutually beneficial relationships with community partners.
To create a sustainable infrastructure for a community and academic health science partnership that fosters collaborative research and education to address health disparities and promote health equity among underserved populations on the US-Mexico border. The primary goals of the Community and Academic Partnerships for Health Science Research (CAPHSR) are:
Create opportunities for networking and developing a common ground for health services and health science research among community agencies and faculty members
Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of community and academic health sciences research
DIALOG SOURCES
I3 Move Communities provide a way to share expertise, resources, and community information to the general public. There are numerous tools available, both open source and proprietary, for engaging in dialog and sharing information and knowledge within a closed group.
