Engineers for a Sustainable World is a nonprofit network made up of people passionate about technical sustainability from all across the world. We believe that engineers, and anyone who loves to solve problems, are key to solving today's biggest sustainability challenges. Each year the annual conference brings together students, industry professionals, and faculty from across the country to focus on solving the world’s messy, sustainability problems. Our goal is to build a better world through the various hands-on projects our members partake in, which encompasses everything from solar energy to food waste to educational outreach. This year, the ESW-UTEP student chapter will have the honor to host the 2019 ESW Annual Conference. The theme “Borderless Sustainability” seeks to showcase representatives from organizations and sectors involved in the sustainable practices of the Paso del Norte binational region.
