Arshad M. Khan, Ph.D., assistant professor of biological sciences, has been awarded a $440,760 grant from the National Institutes of Health - National Institute of General Medical Sciences to fund his four-year study, "Identifying and Mapping Functional Connections of Feeding Control Neurons in the Brain" This study will identify and map previously unknown and uncharted brain circuits that help control food intake and regulate body weight.Khan joined UTEP in 2010.
