Daniel Michael Mejia
Assistant Professor of Instruction, Computer Science

Dr. Daniel Mejia is currently a visiting assistant professor in the department of Computer Science at The University of Texas at El Paso. Dr. Mejia earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science at UTEP in 2019. He is currently the assistant director of graduate programs and one of the principal investigators for the S-STEM grant funded by the NSF. Dr. Mejia teaches several courses in the Department of Computer Science including Introduction to Computer Science, Data Structures, Advanced Object-Oriented Programming, Applied Software Development, and Junior Professional Orientation. His research interests are in Applied Agile Software Development, Interdisciplinary data-driven software development, Smart Cities, Computer Science Education, and Semantic Web. His current emphasis is interdisciplinary research relating to data-driven education practices in Agile Software development.
