Dr. Min acquired a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology under the mentorship of Dr. Scott K. Powers at the University of Florida. He worked at Yale University School of Medicine as postdoctoral fellow and research scientists. Dr. Min's research aims to understand the signaling pathways that protect cardiac and skeletal muscle against muscle diseases. Specifically, his research focuses on the mechanisms of exercise on cardiac and skeletal muscle function following injury and disease using mouse and cell culture models. His research has important implications in human disease including the development of skeletal muscle atrophy, muscular dystrophy, muscle degeneration, cardiomyopathy and heart failure.
