This research grant explores the emotional experience of pregnancy among first and second-generation Mexican-origin immigrants in the El Paso, TX border region using a mixed-methods, multi-phased research design that will utilize survey data, health records, cortisol levels (a stress biomarker), and ethnographic methods.
