Dr. Ramirez is a microbial ecologist interested in characterizing the diversity and biogeographical patterns of soil microbes across the globe. She focuses on the soil microbiome, plant-soil interactions, and global change ecology. In addition to her scientific research she is committed to making science more inclusive for women and marginalized communities as co-founder of 500 Women Scientists. |
