Dr. Rafael Sánchez is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at El Paso School of Pharmacy (UTEP SOP) and a clinical pharmacist specializing in HIV and chronic disease management. His research focuses on improving medication adherence and health outcomes in underserved populations through innovative, technology-driven patient care models, such as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) for diabetes. Dr. Sánchez is committed to empowering patients through education and access to cutting-edge tools. As a PGY1 pharmacy resident, he spearheaded the development of a pharmacist-led PrEP clinic.
