My research explores how people and communities develop and maintain resilience when facing major weather-related challenges. With a background in social work and collaborative experience in public health and engineering, I use both quantitative and qualitative methods to understand how families, neighborhoods, and local organizations prepare for, experience, and recover from events such as winter storms, wildfires, and heat waves. Much of my work aims to find practical ways to strengthen community resilience, improve communication, and support coordinated responses before and after a crisis. I am also interested in how new technologies, including artificial intelligence tools, can help people access reliable information and resources during emergencies. Through a mix of data analysis and direct engagement with communities, my goal is to produce research that leads to useful, real-world strategies for improving local readiness and overall well-being in changing conditions.
