Katerina Karagianni (PhD candidate) is an expert on the analysis of zooplankton organisms. She has a BSc degree in Biology. She is a member of the scientific group of zooplankton lab of School of Biology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, leaded by Prof. Dr. E. Michaloudi. Her research activity focuses on marine plankton communities and their use as indices in the assessment of marine ecosystems according to the MSFD. Furthermore, he has participated in projects regarding the rotifer community and its interactions with phytoplankton communities in artificial, shallow ponds and the experimental testing on cladocerans (Daphnia magna).
