Cyber Threats to the U.S. Government and Private Sectors
Wednesday, March 18, 2015 - 08:30 - Thursday, March 19, 2015 - 16:30

UTEP National Security Studies Institute annual colloquium is set for March 18-19, 2015. The colloquium will mark the start of UTEP’s new Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence (IC CAE). This event will be an excellent opportunity for students, scholars and security professionals to discuss and debate topics of current concern relating to security in cyberspace. In the last decade, cyber threats have posed tremendous challenges to the U.S. National Security Enterprise and, as such, they have been the subject of much policy and academic attention. The conference will take stock of the field and provide an overall examination of the evolving causes, forms, consequences and responses to cyber-threats across the public-private divide. The exploration of this timely subject matter by practitioners and scholars promises to be both stimulating and informative.

We are delighted to host select scholars, practitioners, as well as students both as panelists and speakers. We strongly encourage all UTEP students with a general interest in national security, and local and regional members of the National Security Enterprise to attend.
