Symposium: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Cyber-Security
Monday, October 31, 2016 - 09:00 - 16:00

In the last decade, cyber threats have posed tremendous challenges to the government and private sectors. Various academic disciplines, ranging from computer science to social, behavioral and economic sciences, can improve our understanding of the current cyber- security landscape. This one-day symposium will provide an opportunity for UTEP students, faculty and staff as well as local partners to explore the potential of interdisciplinary approaches to cyber-security. The event will feature presentations by guest speakers, zip talks by faculty members, student poster presentations, and conclude with a brainstorming exercise.

We strongly encourage all UTEP students, faculty and staff, as well as local professionals with a general interest in cyber-security (defined broadly) to attend. A registration fee is not required, all are welcome to attend and benefit from this forum. Registration is required, RSVP on our event page.
