UTEP faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend the 6th annual Interdisciplinary Research and Education Symposium on November 5th and 6th.
The theme of this year's campus-wide event is, "Understanding Interdisciplinary Research & Rewards: What We Know and Where We are Going."

The symposium features various opportunities to connect with others and learn about interdisciplinary approaches and efforts:
• Remarks by President Natalicio on IDRE
• Update on the IDR Building by Dr. Bill Hargrove
• Poster session and opening reception
• Flash presentations by faculty on best practices
• Interactive Connector Event
• Panel discussion with campus deans from these colleges/schools: Liberal Arts, Pharmacy, Nursing, Science, Health Sciences, Business Administration
• Session on building an interdisciplinary portfolio by Dr. Michael Kenney
• Workshop for chairs and directors led by Office of the Provost
• Reception and featured talk by Dr. Kevin Bennet, Chair of Division of Engineering, Mayo Clinic
