Participants of this workshop will:
Identify challenges of working in interdisciplinary teams including differences in vocabularies, methodologies, perspectives and expectations.
Identify the learning process required for working in effective collaborative, interdisciplinary teams.
Model different perspectives on a specific research topic using learning strategies to provoke the following skills: externalizing self-reasoning, exploring each other’s knowledge and encouraging questioning and analysis of information.
Understand the advantages of representing knowledge as concept maps.

Dr. Villanueva Rosales is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and a Co-PI of the Cyber-ShARE Center of Excellence at UTEP.
Norma Rivera is pursuing the degree of Masters of Science in Computer Science at UTEP.
