Dr. Medina is a world-renowned expert in the area of Additive Manufacturing (AM) and electron beam powder bed fusion technology; also known as Electron Beam Melting (EBM). He has over eighteen years of experience in AM and has educated over one thousand scientists and engineers in the areas of meals AM technology, processes, and advanced applications. He has published and contributed to over 120 peer-reviewed journal and conference proceedings. Additionally, he has been awarded nine additive manufacturing patents, with several other patents pending. Throughout his career, his research interests has centered around additive manufacturing, with a heavy emphasis on the acceleration and advancement of the manufacturing readiness of metal AM technology.
