Dr. Rosas-Acosta’s research is focused on furthering our understanding of how the activity of the SUMOylation system is regulated, with the ultimate goal of developing molecular tools to increase or inactivate the SUMOylation system. This will result in the development of innovative agents that enhance the activity of chemotherapeutic agents or halt the replication of a wide variety of viruses, particularly Influenza A virus. |
