Research at The University of Texas at El Paso may lead to a treatment for West Nile, dengue and Zika viruses, as well as a better way to predict a patient’s outcome with the viruses. The study on a promising protein is funded by a new $615,000 grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, a branch of the National Institutes of Health.
