The UTEP College of Engineering hosts the annual Excellence in Technology, Engineering, and Science (ExciTES) summer camp for youth in the greater El Paso community. Funding from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) will support a minimum of 50 students for summer 2017. El Paso area math and science teachers, who have an existing relationship with the UTEP College of Engineering, nominate students who are then asked to apply on-line for a THECB scholarship to support their participation.
