Meaningful community engagement can be difficult for students balancing academic, work, and family responsibilities. Miner Volunteer Corps will serve as a student-led hub that connects UTEP students with volunteer opportunities through nonprofit and community partners across the El Paso region. Student leaders will coordinate service activities, support community partnerships, and promote civic engagement through programming and leadership development opportunities. The University will track participation and service activities through its community engagement platform to measure involvement and community contributions. This effort expands access to volunteer service, strengthens connections between students and community organizations, and provides opportunities for leadership development and civic participation.
