This project will help answer key research questions related to tundra plants. Do tundra plants exhibit differences in their responsiveness to warming? What are the current trajectories of vegetation change across soil moisture and large-scale temperature gradients? How are changes in the permafrost integrity driving changes in vegetation? How does the shifting seasonality of tundra plant phenology alter the ecosystem a in Low vs. High Arctic? How do responses of individual species and specific ecosystem types scale from plot to region to pan-arctic and from high frequency temporal data (daily) to biweekly and seasonally?
