This fellowship supports research for Nina Beltran who will examine the impact of eating a high fat diet on sensitivity of male and female rats to the behavioral effects of two serotonin (5-HT) receptor agonists, such as lorcaserin, a relatively new drug that is FDA-approved for the treatment of obesity.
