Over the last ten years, the Computing Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (CAHSI) established successful strategies for recruitment, retention and advancement of Hispanics in computing. In this project, CAHSI defines a unique ecosystem with four essential elements to ensure its sustainability, resilience and adaptability to change. These elements include: (1) support structures to enhance the career prospects of students and faculty, (2) resources to facilitate implementation and deployment of the field-tested interventions, (3) balance to ensure the total health of the ecosystem through engagement of leaders from diverse sectors, and (4) inclusive environment.
