A diverse and well-prepared engineering workforce, one that includes Hispanics/Latino/as, can potentially advance the engineering field. Thus, it is imperative to understand the role Hispanic Serving Institutions play and the potential for broadening participation of Hispanics in STEM since prior research suggests that these institutions are key access points for Hispanic students in STEM. The overarching goal of this grant is to understand Latina/o undergraduate engineering students' experiences toward and through their engineering undergraduate studies as they transition into either the workforce or graduate studies.
