This project will help fill in gaps about our knowledge of the treatment of, and services available to youths while in custody, as well as the different types of violence present in distinct regions of the U.S. Mexico border. As a multi-site project, our systematic, semi-structured interviews will provide an important comparative analysis that has never been done with repatriated youths. We hope to identify problem areas where abuses are occurring within both Mexican and U.S. custody.
