The objective of this project is to identify and quantify changes at the messenger-RNA (mRNA) level in the inflammatory cytokines IL6 and IL1b from previously stored white blood cells after the completion of a simulated manual assembly task. The team will compare the expression of these genes to a common housekeeping gene using real- time PCR analysis with the Taqman assay system.
