Professional development in generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) for faculty is the focus of this funded project. Work includes sharing professional development opportunities and GenAI communities of practice through the Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institution Educators in Computing and Information Science (CAHSI) website, while supporting four regional advocates to deliver three webinars during the grant period. Regional leadership includes representatives from the Southwest, West, Southeast, and North, creating broad faculty engagement across the network. Project activities also provide travel support for a facilitator and CAHSI faculty to lead or attend a faculty-focused GenAI workshop at the 2025 and 2026 CAHSI-Great Minds in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics conference. Additional efforts support the development of stackable courses with asynchronous options that allow faculty to earn certificates of completion. A repository for GenAI course materials and new communities of practice will further expand access, continuity, and shared learning across participating institutions.
