This study aims to characterize the structure and activity of wild type Hsp27, a small heat shock protein that works in response to cellular stress. Findings will generate possible implications of the progression of Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy, a neurodegenerative disorder that affects the motor and ensory neurons of the peripheral nervous system.
