Dr. Jorge Muáoz is an expert in machine learning and in mentoring undergraduate students in research. He will advise students working on projects that require or can benefit from applying machine learning techniques, he will lead a scientific computing and machine learning workshop for students participants interested in the field, will mentor or co-mentor students at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) as necessary, will provide logistics support for UTEP students working at national laboratories, and will serve on HIPPO program-wide committees.
