Dr. Greenbaum will conduct a biodiversity and conservation assessment of the treefrogs and other herpetofauna living in transitional forests between the Congo Basin lowland rainforests and montane forests. Hypotheses will be tested to explain mid-elevation peaks for species diversity in these forests with next-generation and Sanger DNA sequence data.
